I recommend you getting on a train in Budapest and travel to the Lake Balaton. This is a fantastic journey, and at the end of the road you will find yourself at the second most popular touristic attraction of Hungary. On the board you can taste some delicious Hungarian dishes. It is true: if a Hungarian got on a train or on a bus, she or he has to start dining at once. Perhaps we are traveling just half an hour, but we have to eat. Majorly we put a sandwich out of our bag, or sometimes we use the buffet or the dining car.

In this post I woult like to show you, how the dining on the board happend in the past, and I would like to speak about the modern restaurants, too. Please, look at the pictures!

As I wrote above, it is a great fun to travel to the Lake Balaton by train. The Balaton is the largest lake of Hungary, the Balaton region is full of fantastic vinyards, strands, restaurants and other attractions. This is a retro train by the lake (photograph: MTI)
